*Wrote...* I received information about this site through an e-mail from TENNORMANN. I am happy to say that many of the voice majors at Virginia State University program Negro Spirituals on recitals. Too, our departmental seminars include singers performing spirituals. I should also like to say that Dr. Aldrich Adkins was on our staff for several years, and he was a strong voice in encouraging students to become familiar with the Negro Spiritual and Black art songs. I am always looking for settings of songs by black composers. Please continue to share information with students and teachers. Keep up the good work. Thanks Is Phillip McIntyre's collection still in publication? They are interesting settings of spirituals.
